Working of a Laboratory

• Generally speaking working of clinical laboratory is a very simple procedure. Patient arrives in clinical labs to Get some tests done e.g. blood tests, TLC DLC, Serology Tests, Widal Tests Etc.
• The laboratory technician takes his sample and gives him a receipt for the amount paid and tells him / her about the reporting date and time.
• At the prescribed date and time, the patient again comes to take his test report. In the meantime the technician performs some chemical tests on patient’s samples and prepares his result card. Now he needs to provide the patient with result card of his tests.
• Maintenance of patient’s accurate test reports in clinical labs is very important and compulsory. As such all of patient’s diagnosis are based on his test results.
